Discovery Education

This subscription-based service is in use for CMCSS teachers and students. Videos can be downloaded to view, but some are marked "Editable" and can be modified by the teachers and students for their work.

A login is required to view and to download media.

Teachers - Each school has a passcode to get to their group of students. Teachers create their own login and password.

Students - Logins are setup by the district. Username pattern is "CMC.######" The ###### is their 6-digit lunch/PowerSchool number. The password is first initial, last initial, and last 4 numbers of the state-issued PIN.

Garageband (Mac and iPad)

Garageband comes with preloaded jingles that are free to use on projects and export as files. It also has the ability to create music with built-in digital instrument and musical tracks or by recording from real-world instruments.

Garageband is only available for Macs and for Apple's iOS devices such as iPads. It comes bundled on Macs and is free from the App Store on iPads.

No account is required to access either the program on the computer or the app on the iOS device.

Graphite - App and Website Resources and Reviews

Graphite reviews and rates educational websites and apps. Apps can be sorted by grade level and by standard.

No account is required to search the site for app or resource you need.

A free account can be created so that you can save and organize your favorites with Graphite's Boards and Field Notes options.
